According to its statutes, the Working Group Meteors promotes science and research, especially in the field of atmospheric phenomena. In addition, it popularizes scientific results. As a non-profit organization, AKM does not seek profit, but instead invests its income entirely for the stated purposes.

Naturally, with the limited income solely from membership dues, we can only support a few amateur science projects, which is why the Working Group Meteors gladly accepts donations. Donations can be earmarked by specifying a purpose when donating, or be available for general use. In the latter case, the board develops a proposal for the use of the donation and decides on it. For amounts of 500€ or more, the proposal is submitted to the general assembly for decision. Of course, the donor receives a receipt for tax purposes in every case.

Of course we can support only few citizen science projects with the limited revenues we have from membership fees. For this reason Arbeitskreis Meteore is also happy to receive donations. Donations can be earmarked by giving a specific purpose for upon donation or uncommitted. In the latter case the managing committee compiles a proposal for the use of the donation and decides upon it. For amounts beyond 500€ the proposal will be presented to the AKM general meeting for decision. In any case the donor will get a receipt of donation for tax purposes.
